If you are a family who is looking for a great deal, you are in luck. The Super 8 Motel in Anaheim is one street from Disneyland. That’s really all you need to know. Actual the price is the kicker$61 for a room with 2 beds on a Monday night. How awesome is that! That price is with my AAA discount. There are all kinds of special rates for Government workers, seniors, Promotional packages, and reward points are available. There is a hip-hop song that pays homage to the HI. The catchy chorus goes “hotel, motel, holiday inn.” Now every time I think about the Holiday Inn this little jingle pops into my head. So when looking for a hotel near Disneyland, the Holiday Inn was the one that popped into my head. And of course they have a location in Anaheim that is walking distance from Disneyland and the surrounding Anaheim Convention Center complex. Cozy and comfortable perfectly describe the Best Western Anaheim Inn. Cutting right to the chase; this hotel has Disneyland Passes available for purchase at the front desk. This little perk is more than enough to make my day. Purchasing a pass at Disneyland can be an excruciatingly long process. Then you usually have to wait in line at the front gates. Well armed with passes in hand, I arrived at Disneyland and made my way into the park with little trouble. By the way, this must be the closest cheap to Disneyland that is not owned by Disney. If I could sum the Travelodge in Anaheim in one word it would be this: LOCATION. This hotel is literally 2 tenths of a mile away from Disneyland. Here is my ideal vacation at Disneyland; wake up in a sweet room that only cost $60, have a nice little breakfast snack (some cereal or a bagel). The Doubletree Guest Suites are a short walk from Disneyland with restaurants, refreshments, and shopping nearby. Paid $150 per night so this hotel is not so cheap, but on off nights a room can be had for under $100. The lobby is all class with a soft and warming feel. Check in at the desk went smoothly, which is just want you want after a long drive in southern California traffic! The Staff was great and attended to any needs that I had. Continue Reading »
